Privacy Policy

The short version

• We only ask for what we need to make your child's comic.
• Photos are stored in the EU and deleted automatically once the comic is delivered.
• We never train AI models on your child's photo.
• We never sell your data or use your child's photo for advertising.

What we collect

• Comic details — your child's first name, age range, reading level, interests and the story you pick. This is what the comic is built from.
• Optional photos — a photo of your child and/or a favourite toy or pet, if you choose to upload them.
• Order details — your email address and payment confirmation. Card details are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store them.
• Basic usage data — anonymous page and click events that tell us which parts of the site are useful.

Photos

Uploaded photos are used for one purpose only: drawing your child as the hero of their comic. They are stored on servers in the European Union, are not shared with third parties beyond the processing needed to create your comic, are never used to train AI models, and are deleted automatically after the comic is delivered. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.

Children's data

HeroPage is bought and used by parents and guardians, not by children. By uploading a photo or details about your child you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian and consent to us using that information to create the comic.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of service providers to run HeroPage: payment processing, hosting and database storage, image generation and email delivery. They may only process your data on our instructions. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep things

Photos: deleted once the comic is delivered. Comic details and finished PDFs: kept so you can re-download your purchase, and deleted on request. Order and invoice records: kept as long as required by tax and accounting rules.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted. Email hello@heropage.com and we'll take care of it.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar storage that are necessary for the site and checkout to work, plus simple analytics to understand how the page is used. Marketing or tracking cookies are only set with your consent.
